LAUNCH OF A WHISTLEBLOWING CHANNEL

On 30 March 2023, Legislative Decree No. 24 of 10 March 2023 came into force implementing “EU Directive 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and Council of 23 October 2019 concerning the protection of individuals reporting breaches of EU law and establishing provisions concerning the protection of individuals reporting breaches of national legislative provisions” (the so-called “Whistleblowing Decree”).

This legislation introduces the obligation for public sector as well as private sector entities falling within the scope of Legislative Decree 24/2023 to establish their own internal reporting channels that can ensure the confidentiality of reporters’ identity. 

In order to comply with this legislative provision, our University has launched a reporting channel through the WhistleLink IT platform.

This platform allows for the management of reports while ensuring the confidentiality of the whistleblower while taking all precautions required by the current legislation.
