TRAUMATOLOGY
(WAR TRAUMA, TRAUMA AT WORK, MOTOR VEHICLE TRAUMA)

The Second Level Online Master in Traumatology offers to participants all the current knowledge in the treatment of civil and military trauma pathologies.

At the end of the Course, students will be able to manage and treat a medical or surgical emergency in the Traumatology field.

PURPOSES

The Master aims to teach doctors, surgeons and civil or military medical staff how to face the war emergencies, natural disasters, incidents at work or road accidents.
Participants will develop an advanced training focused on the patient’s triage on site, by making a first clinical diagnosis and emergency treatment; then, they will learn how to manage a transfer to a first aid hospital or to an International Center of High Excellence on the organization, clinical or medical-forensic aspect.
The Master offers a specialized didactic based on a specific intensive care, medical, orthopedic or surgical treatment.
Furthermore, some organizational nursing aspects of a trauma patient will be objects of study. The organization of an intensive care, an inpatient facility or surgery will also be under study.

METHODOLOGY

The lessons of the Master will be delivered in e-learning mode; students will have handouts, bibliography and on-line video. Lessons will be registered, therefore students can access them anytime and re-watch them whenever they want. At the end of every course there will be a final exam via an on-line meeting with the professor.
Several didactic activities will be in live-streaming from the surgical room of Italian hospitals.
At the end of the Master, students from Libya have the opportunity to participate in a week-long Practice’s lessons in Libya with the teaching staff; eventually, they will take in their country the final exam. Students from other countries will take the final exam on-line.
University Credits (CFU) will be granted at the end of the course only if the final exam is passed by the presentation of the final paper, as a proof of skills acquired.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

In order to register for the Online Master in Traumatology, candidates must have:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Methods of physical activity
– Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Professions
– Master’s Degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics
– Master’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery

The University reserves the right to admit candidates with different qualifications but related to the Master curriculum.

DURATION

The Master’s duration is 18 months, 133 hours of on-line lessons. Students with Residence in Libya have 25 hours of additional lessons on site.
