The Vatican’s Dicastery for the Service of Charity, UniCamillus University, and the Madonna della Fiducia clinic enter into an agreement on providing dental care assistance to the less fortunate

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed to provide specialised dental care to the neediest patients.

On Wednesday 6th September an agreement was signed between the Almoner of His Holiness, Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, UniCamillus’ Rector, Prof. Gianni Profita, and Doctor Nicolò Vinciguerra, a representative of the Roman Madonna della Fiducia clinic.

The Memorandum of Understanding aims to provide free dental care to the less fortunate who seek assistance at the Madre di Misericordia clinic, who might otherwise have difficulty accessing dental care services. These will also be available at the Madonna della Fiducia clinic

The Madre di Misericordia clinic is a facility of the Dicastery for the Service of Charity that provides free healthcare to those living in poverty, marginalisation or difficult situations. Located in St. Peter’s Square beneath Bernini’s colonnade, the clinic annually offers more than 14,000 healthcare services to approximately 6,000 individuals.

The strong emphasis on service and charity in this initiative was the common motivation for all the parties involved. Launched as a pilot project, this initiative adds to UniCamillus’ many other humanitarian efforts, inspired by the example of Camillus de Lellis, a symbol of dedication to the most vulnerable and marginalised.
