It is with profound sadness that the academic community of UniCamillus has learned of the passing of Professor Franco Romeo. A physician and teacher with remarkable human as well as professional qualities, he leaves an enormous void in the scientific community and, in particular, in our University.
He joined UniCamillus in the academic year 2020-2021 as an Extraordinary Professor, putting his vast experience at the service of students. His generosity, evidenced by his commitment to initiatives in favour of public health, was equal to his wisdom and expertise, recognized even at the international level.
“His loss deprives us of one of the cornerstones and reference points among the most influential figures in the Italian medical and scientific world“, stresses Rector Gianni Profita. “I would like to express to his family my deepest condolences as well as those of the entire UniCamillus community”.
