RESEARCH ACTIVITY
Study of the microscopic dynamics in hydrogen bonded molecular solids and of the microscopic structure in simple and quantum fluids; complex systems of biological interest (water, confined water, micelles, biological macromolecules, proteins, fibrils, membranes for hydrogen separation). High resolution neutron, X and infrared spectroscopy techniques. High pressure in liquids. Diagnostics of Cultural Heritage (marbles, ceramics, bronzes) with neutron spectroscopy. Development of instrumentation in the field of neutron spectroscopy (neutron detectors and simulations)

Research activity carried out at the European research infrastructures (STFC ISIS neutron source – UK; ILL (Institut Laue-Langevin) – FR; Laboratoire Leon Brillouin, Saclay – FR; SOLEIL, Synchrotron Radiation Facility, Saclay- FR, LURE Orsay -FR )

Other activities:
Since 2010 I have been a member of the local coordination of Rete29Aprile, previously active in local coordination on research and university policy.
Among my social activities, I participated in the Forum of Movements for Water, I am part of the ATTAC Italia associations and of the Donne in Gene Onlus, which manages the Donna LISA Anti-violence Center in Rome, to prevent and struggle gender-based violence .
