Cellular and Molecular Biologist, she got her PhD at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. She performed research activity at the Sanford-Burnham-Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, San Diego, USA.
She is currently Researcher at IRCCS Santa Lucia Foundation, Rome.

Her scientific activity is mainly focused on the study of neuromuscular diseases, in particular Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, in order to identify pharmacological therapies to counteract the progression of the disease. She has solid experience in the fields of epigenetic pharmacology, stem cells and regenerative medicine.
She is the author of several publications in prestigious international journals and winner of grants and research awards.
