Biography

Marco Infante received his M.D. degree at Sapienza University of Rome in 2014. In 2019, he received the Board Certification in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases at University of Rome Tor Vergata.

He is a member of several international scientific organizations, including Diabetes Research Institute Federation (DRIF), American Diabetes Association (ADA) and International Pancreas and Islet Transplant Association (IPITA).

Starting from January 2019, Dr. Infante has been serving as a Research Scholar at Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (Miami, FL, USA).

Dr. Infante serves as the Managing Editor for the peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary international journal CellR4. Moreover, he is currently serving on the Editorial board of the peer-reviewed journals Frontiers in Endocrinology, Frontiers in Public Health (specialty sections “Clinical Diabetes” and “Obesity”) and Frontiers in Immunology (specialty section “Autoimmune and Autoinflammatory Disorders”).

Dr. Infante authored several publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals and contributed to several invited book chapters and editorials. He serves as an ad hoc reviewer for several international peer-reviewed journals, such as Frontiers in Endocrinology, Frontiers in Immunology, Frontiers in Public Health, Healthcare, Nutrients, Biomarkers in Medicine, among others. He gave lectures at national and international meetings, and participated in several national and international training courses, expert meetings, conferences and conventions as a speaker or faculty member.

In May 2020, he has been appointed Supervisor for the international Network of Immunity in Infection, Malignancy and Autoimmunity (NIIMA) of the Universal Scientific Education and Research Network (USERN). To date, Dr. Infante is taking part into a PhD Program in Systems and Experimental Medicine at the Department of Systems Medicine (University of Rome Tor Vergata), where he has been carrying out clinical and research activities in the field of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolic disorders.

Starting from July 2020, he has been holding the position of Adjunct Professor of Endocrinology at UniCamillus, Saint Camillus International University of Health Sciences (Rome, Italy).
