The App can help limit the risk of contagion in an anonymous manner. Downloading it does not cost anything, does not involve any risk and is a civic way to actively participate in the country’s effort to get out of the emergency. It was officially announced on the MID (Italian Ministry of Technological Innovation and Digitization) website.
Immuni App full operation on a national scale is scheduled for June 15th. Therefore, starting from this date, also in Lazio it will be possible to take advantage of a technological component considered fundamental by Ranieri Guerra, Deputy Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) and Coordinator for the Development of International Projects of UniCamillus.
Even if “it is not the only solution – Guerra points out – it integrates with the other provisions.
The App, developed in Milan by the Bending Spoon, will make it possible to trace the contacts that may have exposed a person to the risk of contagion from Covid-19.
A decision which came mainly from the collaboration between the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Health and fully shared by UniCamillus, International Medical University of Rome, for two main reasons: it contributes quickly to the measures taken to contrast the virus; it offers guarantees regarding respect for privacy according to Italian and European legislation. In fact, no names and other elements that can trace the identity of an affected person or of those who have had contact with individuals affected by the virus will not be recorded.
In the UniCamillus “Phase 2 Protocol Measures for the prevention of COVID-19 infection”, it is recommended to all the people who will have access to UniCamillus to download the Immuni App, according to the indications provided by the public authorities to continue to keep under control the spread of Coronavirus.
The University continues to pursue its main objective: to protect the health and safety of the entire academic community and more, carrying out a social and welfare responsibility.
