“The non-hospital delivery: at home and in the Casa Maternità (Maternity House)” – UniCamillus webinar
On June, 25th and 26th UniCamillus hosted a webinar held by free-professional midwives for the students of the Degree Course in Midwifery.
Through this particular mode of use it was possible to deepen the aspects of the choice of an extra-hospital childbirth. The webinar entitled “The non-hospital delivery: at home and in the Maternity House” was held by the midwives of the “Nascere e Crescere” Maternity House in Rome, whose manager is Anna Maria Gioacchini.
UniCamillus encourages educational events of this kind and provides students with theoretical and practical tools to learn how to offer birth assistance in a way that respects the rhythms and modalities of each labor.
The event, which is the first of a series of meetings that will continue during the next academic year, created a new synergy between UniCamillus and the network of free-professional midwives in Rome and in the Lazio Region. The aim is to raise awareness among the new class of health professionals that the free-professional midwives can support and assist future mothers even outside the health facilities and operate as a free professional through home care.
