Professor Roberta Lione wins 2 international awards for Orthodontic and Dental Research

Roberta Lione, Preventative Dentistry Professor for the Degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, received two awards for two orthodontic research projects presented this year. Professor Lione was awarded by the American company Align Technology.

This company is known for producing famous clear aligners named Invisalign. For 12 years Align Technology has been offering international research grants to universities presenting the best projects on orthodontic and dental treatments.

As Align Technology mentioned, an increasing number of universities are submitting study projects with the aim of improving orthodontic and dental treatments.

Born in 2010, the Research Award Program aims at supporting clinical and scientific, orthodontic and dental research in universities internationally. Moreover, an independent academic committee is in charge to review submitted projects.

UniCamillus congratulates Professor Lione on winning these awards, thus raising Italian Research among the excellences at international level once again.

Submitted projects are:

  • “Effects of IPR by mechanical oscillating strips system on biological structures: a qualitative evaluation”;
  • “Cephalometric assessment of mandibular sequential distalization with Invisalign in Class III patients”.
