Biography

Viviana Moschese, MD, MSc, PhD is currently Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Coordinator of the course in Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Rome Tor Vergata.
She is Head of Pediatric Immunopathology and Allergology and of the Regione Lazio Referral Centre for Rare Diseases/Primary Immunodeficiencies at Tor Vergata University Hospital and appointed as President of the Vaccine Committee, Italian Society of Pediatric Allergology & Immunology.
Since 2006, she is also Director of the Master in Advanced Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at University of Rome Tor Vergata.

Her major scientific and clinical responsibilities include:
HIV perinatal transmission within the Dept of Immunology and the Dept of Virology at Karolinska Institute, Stockolm
Clinical, immunological and genetic characterization of Primary Immunodeficiency patients with special focus on primary antibody defects within the Dept of Immunology and Hematology at Necker Children’s Hospital, Paris, and within the Dept of Pediatric Immunology at UCSF, San Francisco. Furthermore, she is an active member of the Italian and the European primary immunodeficiency network,(IPINet and ESID respectively).
Control of Allergy Disease, especially focused on Atopic Dermatitis and Asthma, in collaboration with several International and National groups.
Vaccination in the vulnerable such as the Immunocompromised and Allergy patient as well as the Pregnant woman
