Biography

In 2007, he completed a cardiology residency program under the direction of Prof. Filippo Crea at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome, Italy, and received both his MD and PhD degrees summa cum laude from the same institution. During his medical training, he completed fellowships abroad at the Université Catholique de Lille, France, and the Institut Universitaire de Cardiologie et Pneumologie de l’Université Laval, Québec, Canada.

He is currently an interventional cardiologist at Sant’Eugenio Hospital in Rome, where he
has gained extensive experience in innovative percutaneous treatments for congenital heart
disease in adults.

His significant research contributions have established him as a leading authority in the study and advancement of distal radial access, the latest development of transradial access.
As an expert in this field, he is frequently invited to speak and lecture at international conferences and prestigious institutions.

In recent years, he has taken the lead in several international interventional cardiology trials and has authored international consensus documents on vascular access for percutaneous coronary interventions. His research interests also include slender approaches in interventional cardiology, and complex coronary lesions, which have fostered numerous national and international scientific collaborations and resulted in more than 150 peerreviewed publications in international journals.
