He investigated the role of genetics in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis by identifying and patenting genetic polymorphisms that can explain the discrepancy between the presence of risk factors and phenotypic expression of atherosclerotic disease.
In recent years he has developed the most modern techniques of structural interventional cardiology in his Hemodynamics laboratory, becoming a national and international reference point with two recent “Live sessions” made during the Indian congress and the American congress of interventional cardiology.
