Biography

Prof. Luca Padua completed his degree summa cum laude in Medicine and Surgery at “Sapienza” University in Rome, and thereafter specialized in Neurology at the Università Cattolica (Rome). He earned a PhD in Neurosciences at the same University.

He conducts scientific activity at the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS – Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.

He is involved in several topics: Rare Diseases, validation of tool/scale, peripheral neuropathies, neurorehabilitation.

He has a complete clinical neuroscience expertise and his long experience, in epidemiological and multicentric studies, recently transferred to neurorehabilitation research. His studies were focused first on neurophysiological research, then on clinical and epidemiological studies and, finally, on neurorehabilitation field. Actually, he is Associated Professor in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and the Director of Neurorehabilitation ward.

He has contributed to more than 590 papers in peer-reviewed international journals indexed in Pubmed; H-index (Scopus): 54 and more than 12,322 citations.

From 2002 he won 13 peer-reviewed GRANT and he is responsible for serveral Clinical Trials.
