Biography

Staff Physician at the Division of Hematology of the Hematology, Oncology and Dermatology Department, Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria Policlinico Umberto I.

Carries out assistance activities in the field of myeloproliferative and myelodysplastic diseases of adults.
Responsible of the cytogenetics and cytogenetic-molecular laboratory of the UOC to which he belongs.

Professional experiences:
After graduating in Medicine and Surgery, Dr. Mancini attended the UOC of Hematology as a specialist doctor in training between 1984 and 1987. As a specialist doctor he continued to work at the UOC of Hematology from 1988 to 1994, taking advantage of scholarships from the Italian Association against Leukemia (AIL). In 1991 he was at the Department of Clinical Genetics of the University of Lund (Sweden) for a period of updating and study.

Medical assistant of the Italian Association against Leukemia (AIL) from 1995 to 2005.

Areas of interest:
Therapy of myeloproliferative and myelodysplastic diseases of adults also in the context of treatment protocols. Identification of cytogenetic and cytogenetic-molecular alterations of oncohematological diseases and analysis of their clinical-prognostic significance.
