Prof. Guerrisi has a degree in Physics at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
Since 2006 she has been Professor of Applied Physics at the Degree Courses in Medicine and Surgery and Dentistry at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
In 2007 she received the “Highlights of the First European Conference on Medical Physics” Award from the European Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics.

The research activity in MEDICAL PHYSICS is mainly focused on the application of advanced physical and mathematical techniques aimed at the detection, quantification and interpretation of biomedical interest data.
Since 2004, as Head of the Medical Physics Section, she has encouraged interdisciplinary research with the creation of the following LABORATORIES:
– Physiological Measurements Laboratory;
-Advanced Computing Laboratory for Medicine, Signal Analysis and Modeling with applications to Neuroscience, the Cardiorespiratory System and Bioimaging.
-Laboratory of Physics applied to Motor Sciences and Biomechanics of Movement.
