Guido Francini

Biography

Dr. Francini Guido obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Siena.

From 1984 to the present he has been Associate Professor of Medicine and Medical Therapy.

From 1985 to present, he has been Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Siena.

Dr. Francini has directed the Complex Operative Unit of Medical Oncology.

From 1997 to the present he is Full Professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Siena.

Dr. Francini directed the Center for Pharmaceutical Oncology and the Graduate School at the University of Siena.

From 2002 to the present, he has directed the Regional Reference Center “Research, Diagnosis and Treatment of Bone Metastases” (Tuscany).

Dr. Francini has served as President of the Italian Medical Oncologists University (COMU).

From 2010 to the present, he is President of the Italian Geriatric Oncology Group (GOGI).

He participated in the development of four peptide-based vaccines for the treatment of various malignancies. He is a member of national and international scientific associations.
