Massimo Di Giannantonio

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the Catholic University of Sacro Cuore in 1978, he obtained the Postgraduate Specialist Diploma in Psychiatry in 1982.

Today he is President-elected of Italian Society of Psichiatry, and Director of the department of mental health, ASL 2 Abruzzo.

Currently in charge of the Psychiatry Department in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences “G. D’Annunzio” in Chieti, as Director of the School of Specialization, Full Professor, and Director of School of Short Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.

He carries out clinical, welfare and managerial activities with full-time commitment, both in the field of clinical psychiatry, rehabilitation and outpatient care.

Member of editorial boards of numerous scientific journals as well as organizer and coordinator of several national and international conferences.

He is the author of over 300 national and international publications and abstracts, in research sectors that range from psychosomatics to psychodiagnostics, psychiatric rehabilitation, psychopharmacotherapy and drug addiction psychotherapy, research on institutional dynamics, psychiatric and socio-health problems.
