Ciro De Luca

Human Anatomy full-time researcher at Neuronal Network Morphology Lab, University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, he is involved in the study of neural plasticity models, with particular interest in reactive gliosis, extracellular matrix, and neurovascular unit.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Salerno in the 2013 with full marks, being awarded as the best graduating student of the year. He completed with full marks the residency program in Neurology at University of Pisa in 2018 where he was particularly interested in neurophysiology and clinical research about migraine and dementia. He won a research grant about the longitudinal evaluation of migraine patients at the University of Pisa, ceased in the 2020. He collaborated between 2018 and 2020 with private and public health clinics for outpatients’ neurological and neurophysiological evaluation.
He completed with distinction the course of human cadaver dissection at the New York University (D’Youville College – Buffalo) in the 2010. He is currently teaching Human Anatomy at the Medicine and Surgery and Dentistry courses (both in Italian and English language) at University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”.
