Celestino Sardu

Professor of Internal Medicine in Nursing Degree


Assistant Professor with National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor in Internal Medicine (MED 09).
Graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2005 and specialized in Cardiology in 2011; he obtained the II level Master in Electrophysiology and Electrostimulation in 2012, and the PhD in Metabolism and Aging in 2016.
He worked at the Cardarelli Cardiology Hospital in Naples until 2013 and then at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Campobasso from 2013 to 2016; subsequently to the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” until today, at the Department of Advanced Medical and Surgical Sciences, VI Internal Medicine.
He holds training periods in prestigious institutions in Italy (IRCCS San Raffaele, Milan 2010/2011; IRCCS San Donato, Milan, 2011/2012) and abroad (Penn University, Philadelphia, USA July-September 2012; Leiden Uiversity Medical Center , Leiden, Netherland, 2012/2013; Hospital of Bern University, Bern, Switzerland, 2016/2017).
Since 2006 he has been a member of the Italian Association of Arrhythmology and Cardiostimulation (AIAC), the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA). From 2017 to today, member of the Italian Society of Geriatrics (SIG) and from this year a member of the Italian Society of Internal Medicine (SIMI).
In 2013 he won the ESC/EHRA European Arrhythmology award, in 2015 the AIAC award and in 2016 the ESC European Research Award.
He is author of 53 scientific publications on national and international medical issues, number of citations 856, Hi index 18, Rg score 36.43.
