1st LEVEL MASTER IN MANAGEMENT OF THE TERRITORIAL POPULATION-BASED HEALTHCARE SERVICES

The aim of the Master is to give specific competencies to the professional in the field of the territorial district services for the management of the healthy and/or fragile individuals with chronicities, as well as of the caregivers.

The Master is a fundamental training for the healthcare professionals who operate and/or want to access within their company to roles that require advanced competencies for taking responsibility in the management of the organizational procedures for the chronic diseases, disabilities and stressful situations, either at home or in the various organizational territorial entities (e.g., the area of the primary territorial district cares and of the home care, that of hospitalization, the social services to the community, the social services companies).

The goal is to give participants the knowledge and the useful tools for the analysis and the assessment of the population health needs, as well as for the management of the organizational and care services processes on the basis of the Health Population Management principles, with an eye on the current changes in the National and Regional Healthcare Systems and on the future managerial strategies regarding the services and the company sustainability.

Expected Start Date: September 2021

Location:

  • Frontal lectures at UniCamillus University
  • Traineeship and practical activities at the territorial health services locations of ASL Roma 2

Language: Italian

Final Degree and ECTS:

Participants who complete the course and pass the final exam will be awarded of a 1st level Master’s Degree in “MANAGEMENT OF THE TERRITORIAL POPULATION-BASED HEALTH SERVICES” with 60 ECTS.

Duration: 12 months for a total of 1,500 hours divided in:

  • Frontal lectures and seminars
  • Practical activities
  • Traineeship (780 hours)
  • Study and individual work, included the preparation of the final thesis

Attendance:

The attendance is mandatory for at least the 75% of the total amount of the hours of the Master.

Two weekends per month (alternate) are required for the frontal lectures and the seminars. The traineeship schedule will be organized in accordance with the host entity.

Places available:

  • To activate the Master, a minimum of 30 students is required. Below this number, UniCamillus can decide unilaterally not to activate the Master (payments already made will be refunded).
  • The maximum number of participants is 50.

The professional objectives of the Master are:

  • Acquisition of specific competencies and of health, population-based tools for the management of the territorial healthcare services to individuals and of the relative caregivers and the management of the chronic diseases, disabilities and stressful situations, either at home or in the various organizational territorial entities
  • Optimization of the relational and communication aspects with the user to facilitate the humanization and the customization of the therapies
  • Apply in the daily practices the principles of the Health Population Management in a health-value based perspective

The Master Course Director is Barbara Porcelli.

Director of the UOC “Assistenza alla Persona” at ASL Roma 2, Lazio Regional Coordinator of the Scientific Italian Society for the Supervision and Management of the Nurse’s Professions (S.I.D.M.I.), Professor at Tor Vergata University and Campus Biomedico University.

The other key lecturers are:

  • Silvia Cavalli, Administrative Director at ASL Roma 2, Professor at Tor Vergata University and in the course “Managerial Training for the Directors of Complex Structures” organized by the Institute Arturo Carlo Jemolo in collaboration with Lazio Region.
  • Marinella D’Innocenzo, General Director at ASL Rieti, Professor at LUISS University in Rome, Tor Vergata University and La Sapienza University; Scientific Coordinator pro-tempore “Managerial Training for the Directors of Complex Structures” organized by the Institute Arturo Carlo Jemolo in collaboration with Lazio Region.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND SELECTION PROCEDURE

To be admitted to the Master, candidates must have at least one among the following typologies of Degree (already achieved or to be achieved by the deadline for the enrolment to the Master):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pediatric Nursing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Obstetrics
  • Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following Rehabilitative Health Professions:
    • Podiatrist
    • Physiotherapist
    • Speech Therapist
    • Therapist of the Neuro and Psychomotricity of the Evolutionary Age
    • Psychiatric Rehabilitation Professional
    • Occupational Therapist
    • Professional Social Educator
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the following HEALTH TECHNICAL PROFESSIONS – Technical-Diagnostic Field:
    • Health Technician in Medical Radiology
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Social Assistance.

 Candidates can also apply:

  • In possession of a degree equivalent to the abovementioned, achieved under the previous University system organization
  • In possession of a foreign degree, comparable in duration and subjects to the abovementioned.

 

The University reserves the right to admit candidates in possession of a different degree, nonetheless pertinent to the Master didactic objectives.

The admission to the Master is subject to a selection procedure and to a ranking based on merit, after the screening of the candidates’ CVs plus an aptitudinal and motivational interview. If some candidates have the same score in the ranking, the younger candidate prevails.

If one or more candidates renounce the place, the list will be scrolled down.

DEADLINE AND MODALITIES TO SUBMIT THE APPLICATION

The application must be signed and completed in a clear way, using the form available on the website; it must be submitted by July 15th 2021:

  • In person, at the University’s premises (hours: 9:00 – 1:00 pm, Monday to Friday)
  • Via registered mail, address: Scuola post-Laurea, UniCamillus University, Via di Sant’Alessandro, 8 – 00131 Roma
  • Via certified mail, address: unicamillus@pec.it (please write in the Object the name of the Master the application is destined to)

The following documents must be sent along with the application form:

  • Curriculum vitae et studiorum, in European format, complete with date and signature
  • Photocopy of a valid ID
  • Copy of the certificate of the Degree achieved
  • Certificate of any other possible degree that can be relevant for the selection procedure
  • Declaration of having seen the Informative on the Treatment of Personal Data according to art. 13-14 of the EU Regulation 2016/679 pertaining “the protection of individuals with respect to the treatment of personal data” (from now on, “GDPR”), provided by UniCamillus
  • Photocopy of the Fiscal code card and Healthcare card (for Italian and foreign citizens who have them)
  • For candidates with a degree equivalent/comparable to the ones required: declaration substituting the certificate, according to art. 46, letter: m) of the D.P.R. 28/12/2000, n. 445, which proves the achievement of the degree, in compliance with the current legislation
  • Declaration of Value released on site by the Italian consular authority of the country of the degree (with the transcript of records + copy of the final degree) or, Certification of Comparability CIMEA together with the certification of Verification by CIMEA (accessing the platform CIMEA) or, Diploma Supplement (if it is a European degree) issued by the University of origin and with a legalization by the Italian Embassy of the country of the degree. Candidates with some missing documents are admitted upon condition and are not allowed to complete the enrolment procedure until all the required certificates are presented.

The list of the eligible candidates, as well as the date and location of the selection procedure, will be communicated on the UNICAMILLUS website.

PARTICIPATION FEE

The participation fee is Euro 2.200*, to be paid in 4 instalments of Euro 550,00:

  • 1° instalment: Euro 550,00 within the deadline for the enrolment; the date will be communicated by UniCamillus together with the communication of being admitted to the Master course
  • 2° instalment: Euro 550,00 by June 1st 2021
  • 3° instalment: Euro 550,00 by September 1st 2021
  • 4° instalment: Euro 550,00 by December 1st

A reduction of 10% of the total amount of the fees is reserved to the staff employed at ASL Roma 2. The enrolment fee is then equal to Euro 1.980,00 to be paid in 4 instalments of Euro 495,00 according to the deadlines abovementioned.

If the candidate does not pay within the deadlines stated by UniCamillus in the communication of the admission, he/she will lose the place and the ranking will be scrolled down until there are no other eligible candidates.

* The payment of the enrolment fees is not subject to V.A.T. according to the Art. 4 of the DPR 633/72, since it is included in the educational offer of the University. After the payment, a receipt will be issued as a proof of the payment.
