Associate Professor at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” c/o the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, where he teaches Biochemistry for the medical school.
Besides biochemistry, he has been also teaching for several years at different classes of the School of Medicine at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" including Mathematics and Physics for the Three Years Degree in Health Professions (such as the degree in Biomedical Laboratory Techniques; Nursing; Degree in Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy Techniques).
His scientific research is focused since 1985 on biomolecules optical spectroscopy (including absorption, circular dichroism, microscopy and fluorescence) and in particular on the structure-to-function relationship of metal-containing proteins, lipoproteins and skin proteins.
